National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Taiwan made a visit to the University of Gadjah Mada on January 16, 2017, as part of the Field Trip To Yogyakarta. The participants consisted of seven lecturers and 20 students.
A visit to UGM held in the Multimedia Room, UGM Central Building, though the ranks of the board attended the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Geography. The event was opened by the Head of the International Affairs Office, I Made Andi Arsana, S.T., M.E., Ph.D. The event then continued with a discussion of opportunities for cooperation and also public lecture “General Lecture on Geohazard”, with the following speakers:
- Dr. Suprapto, DTSL Faculty: Restoration of Borobudur Temple
- Dr. Djoko Sulistyo, DTSL Faculty: Post Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Prambanan and the Kraton
- Ratih Putri Fitria, Ph.D., Faculty of Geography: Sand Dunes in Parangtritis
- Prof. Radianta Triatmadja, DTSL Faculty: Tsunami Hazard in Parangtritis Beach
- Dr. Eko Haryono: Karst Region and Ancient Bengawan Solo River
