Socialization and training on Security, Safety, Occupational Health and Environment was conducted on Thursday, August 3, 2017, by Center for Safety, Occupational, Health and Environment (PK4L) of Universitas Gadjah Mada.
The socialization and training program which is also a series of new student orientation day (INFODAY) of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering FT UGM was attended by all new DTSL students, as well as Lecturers and Staffs. This event showed various potential hazards in DTSL FT UGM’s area and how to overcome the hazards.

On this occasion also introduced CARED Siaga UGM application, an application for civitas academica of UGM so they can send their self-safety information during emergency situation. This application can be downloaded in googleplay (for android users).

The socialization was continued with fire fighting field training, assisted by 4 officers of PK4L UGM. This training provides students with knowledge on how to extinguish fire using APAR or other wet cloth that can be found in the area.

Infoday is an event aimed at new students of Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering FT-UGM which aims to provide information about Environment, Student Organization and BSO (Semi Autonomous Body), and Introduction of Lecturers at DTSL FT UGM and socialization of curriculum and procedure of KRS.

The event was attended by 101 new students and representatives of students who are members of the organization and BSO and representatives of DTSL FT UGM lecturers.

In graduation period of July 2017, S2 Programme graduated 11 students, MSTT Programme graduated 7 students from Ministry of Transportation Ministry, PUPR and Local Government. Some students graduated with cum laude predicate.

Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering gives scholarship for Master degree in Civil Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada. The scholarship is offered in the form of 50% tuition fee reduction for 4 semesters, for student enrolled in the following Study Program:

• Master of Civil Engineering
• Magister on System and Transport Engineering (MSTT)
• Magister of Engineering on Natural Disaster Management (MTPBA)

Requirements :

Some buildings on the southern coast of Bantul are in danger of being hit by high waves. Because, this week predicted the wave can be up to 5 meters.

Data Collection Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Bantul district somme buildings are located on several beaches.

Head of BPBD Bantul, Dwi Daryanto said the abrasion wave damaged three buildings on Kwaru beach, Bantul earlier this week.

“On the other beach is high but not like in Kwaru, but it is not possible next week it also impact to others, especially on the beach there is very crowded activity, especially Depok,” said Dwi in his office on Tuesday (06/06/2017 ).

As for the beach Kwaru there are about 15 other buildings that according to BPBD its potential prone to wave.

While on Samas beach is also similar, there are five to six buildings that are on the edge and very vulnerable if high waves crashing.

While in monitoring Depok there are about 10 buildings that are threatened.

Tribune Jogja Monitoring on Kwaru beach on Tuesday (06/06/2017) afternoon, the beach tends to be quiet.

The building is positioned on the shoreline and very prone to hit by some waves already emptied.

The position of the sea with the building so close, seen damage in some buildings due to waves and abrasion occurred.

Tujuan : Meningkatkan pengetahuan, menumbuhkan kesadaran dan menciptakan civitas akademik samapta (siap siaga) terhadap kondisi darurat dan bencana.
Peserta :
– Karyawan DTSL (penjaga malam/gedung, petugas parkir/kebersihan/laboran)
– Dosen DTSL
– Mahasiswa DTSL
– Perwakilan Karyawan dari masing-masing departemen di Fakultas Teknik UGM

Merupakan suatu kewajiban hukum bahwa setiap bangunan harus memiliki cukup fire warden untuk memastikan kegiatan evakuasi dalam keadaan darurat dapat dilaksanakan secara aman dan efisien. Pelatihan ini ditujukan bagi semua civitas akademik untuk mendapatkan kompetensi dasar seorang fire wardens, fire safety coordinators atau emergency/disaster coordinators.

Sebagai bagian dari standar operasional prosedur (SOP), sebelum pelatihan dimulai peserta mendapatkan briefing berupa safety induction, yakni prosedur evakuasi dari ruang pelatihan menuju titik kumpul (assembly point) jika terjadi kondisi darurat/bencana. Hal ini disampaikan langsung oleh ketua pelaksana pelatihan, M. Rizka Fahmi Amrozi, S.T., M.Sc.

Kegiatan pelatihan dibuka dengan sambutan dari Kadep DSTSL FT-UGM Prof. Joko Sujono, M.Eng., Ph.D. yang mendapat apresiasi dan antusias dari para peserta. Acara training terbagi menjadi 2 sesi, yaitu sesi tutorial dan praktek. Sesi tutorial disampaikan oleh Aminudin Arhab, B.A., SIP. dan Fernando Marpaung, ST., M.Sc., yakni pemberian pengetahuan dasar tentang pencegahan, evakuasi dan penanggulangan kondisi darurat: kebakaran, gempa, tsunami dan erupsi gunung berapi termasuk penggunaan aplikasi android cared siaga UGM. Sedangkan pada sesi ke 2, melalui pengarahan dari F. Wahyudi, Ana Christalina Siuriwati, ST., MT., dan tim selaku instruktur lapangan pelatihan, setiap peserta dituntut untuk berperan aktif dalam melakukan simulasi evakuasi kondisi darurat (fire drill) dan praktek penerapan SOP beserta penggunaan berbagai peralatan pemadaman kebakaran yang meliputi cara tradisional, penggunaan Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR) dan penggunaan fire hydrant.

Program pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pendidikan, pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang dasar-dasar penanggulangan bahaya kebakaran dan berbagai kondisi darurat termasuk bencana bagi civitas UGM, khususnya di Departemen Teknik Sipil DTSL-UGM. Sehingga bila terjadi kondisi darurat, diharapkan peserta pelatihan mampu melakukan evakuasi, meminimalkan dan menangani dampak bencana.
