Socialization and training on Security, Safety, Occupational Health and Environment was conducted on Thursday, August 3, 2017, by Center for Safety, Occupational, Health and Environment (PK4L) of Universitas Gadjah Mada.
The socialization and training program which is also a series of new student orientation day (INFODAY) of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering FT UGM was attended by all new DTSL students, as well as Lecturers and Staffs. This event showed various potential hazards in DTSL FT UGM’s area and how to overcome the hazards.
On this occasion also introduced CARED Siaga UGM application, an application for civitas academica of UGM so they can send their self-safety information during emergency situation. This application can be downloaded in googleplay (for android users).
The socialization was continued with fire fighting field training, assisted by 4 officers of PK4L UGM. This training provides students with knowledge on how to extinguish fire using APAR or other wet cloth that can be found in the area.
