Specific course information
Brief description  :

This course contains the history of irrigation in the world or in Indonesia, the source types of water irrigation, tap construction and irrigation system, regulations, organization, irrigation facilities and infrastructures, planning of irrigation and drainage system, hydraulic construction and drawing techniques, operation and maintenance; social, economic, and environmental aspect in the planning and managing the irrigation system.

Prerequisite Courses : Water Resources Management (Semester IV)

Studio work : Group assignment for design of intake system, channel, and irrigation structure
Laboratory work : N/A
Specific goals of the course
Specific outcomes : The students are expected to be able to perform the task of searching, compiling, data processing, planning the irrigation system, and make the design of irrigation construction.
Student outcomes : (b) An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to have data analysis and interpretation

(c) An ability to design a system, component, or process in order to be able to face the real constraints in economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability

(d) An ability to function on multidisciplinary team

(e) An ability to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems by considering local resources
