Spesific course information
Brief description :

This course contains the concept of the importance of understanding each construction method to gain result in compliance with the specification given in the contractual document which include the description in method statement: land clearing and bow plank preparation, earthworks, shallow foundation (footing), deep foundation (bored pile, driven pile), wall work and cussion setting, scaffolding and formwork, concrete structure reinforcement, planning and execution of concrete work, roof structure, precast concrete.

Specific goals of the course
Specific outcomes :

The students are expected to be able to understand the construction process from preliminary works to finishing works.

Student outcomes : (e) An ability to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems by considering local resources

  1. Introduction to method of construction implementation
  2. Land preparation and cleaning (bow plank, measurement, coordinate, leveling)
  3. Method of constructing shallow and deep foundation
  4. Methods of constructing wall and frames (brick, light brick, concrete block)
  5. Method of reinforced-concrete reinforcement work
  6. Method of implementation of reinforced concrete reinforcement work
  7. Planning and execution of concrete work
  8. Method of implementation of roof work, precast concrete, steel frame bridge, concrete bridge
