Spesific course information
Brief description : This course will give knowledge & basic skills in the understanding of timber and bamboo as environmentally friendly construction materials and gives basics of bamboo and timber design construction.

Spesific goals of the course
Spesific outcomes : The students are expected to understand the physical and mechanical properties of timber & bamboo; knows the production method of timber & bamboo products; knows the materials and method of timber & bamboo preservation, and able to design the construction element of timbers and its joint sections.
Student outcomes : (a) An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering in civil engineering fields

(c) An ability to design a system, component, or process in order to be able to face the real constraints in economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability

(e) An ability to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems by considering local resources
