Tuesday, 14 March 2017, Prof. Jan Fransoo visited Faculty of Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada and met the Management of the Faculty, i.e. Vice Dean of Research, Community Services, and Cooperation, Dr. Sugeng Sapto Surjono, S.T , M.T., Head of Graduate Academic Affairs Unit, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of International Affairs Unit, Dr. Indra Perdana, S.T., MT., and representatives of Departments in Faculty of Engineering, with Ali Awaludin, ST. M.Eng., Ph.D. from Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The meeting discussed the cooperation opportunity between UGM and TU Eindhoven, especially in the form of staff exchange and double degree. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering already has an MoU with Department of Built Environment TU Eindhoven, which will be followed by the other Departments in the Faculty of Engineering UGM.

The agenda is followed by Information Session for students at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with Intan Supraba, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the moderator.

Earth potential of the coast would require the best policy to be managed appropriately and accurately in order to progress the development of Indonesia. Policies are formed also need to be considered from various aspects.
Talking to experts in the field will open up new horizons in science, as well as supporting the learning process so that later we can make the best policy.
