Bagi mahasiswa yang akan Yudisium bulan Januari 2019, diberitahukan bahwa, rapat yudisium akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 30 Januari 2019. Untuk itu, mahasiwa WAJIB mengumpulkan berkas berikut :
1. Form nilai tesis
2. KHS terakhir (sudah termasuk nilai tesis)
3. Lembar Pengesahan Tesis yang sdh ditanda tangani
4. LOA Jurnal
5. Sertifikat TPA
6. Sertifikat TOEFL
Semua berkas tersebut dikumpulkan paling lambat 28 Januari 2019 jam 14.00.

In 2019, more than 160 researchers from over 100 universities/research institutes from all over the world will gather at HU.
HSI allows participants to expand their knowledge of subjects in cutting-edge fields of research at HU that previously were open only to students of the university. Program participants have an opportunity to attend classes that employ attractive educational techniques, such as field training in Hokkaido’s extensive land resources and active learning activities, so they can develop into professionals capable of thriving on the world stage.
All instruction at HSI is in English. This provides international students with a stress-free learning environment without having to worry about language barriers, and also creates a special opportunity for Japanese students, who can take classes taught by internationally acclaimed researchers. The university strongly hopes that HSI students will cultivate a better understanding of other cultures and improve their English-language proficiency and communication skills through exchanges with researchers and students from other countries. Off-campus events are also planned so participants can enjoy Hokkaido’s beautiful summer.

Hokkaido Summer Institute also give opportunity for International Student to get scholarship to students from Hokkaido University (HU)’ s partner institutions, include:
- Those who enroll as exchange students from HU’ s partner institutions with which HU has concluded a memorandum of understanding on mutual tuition waivers are waived the tuition fees at HU. They must inform the relevant office at their home institution about their application before submitting application. Check the list of HU’s partner universities below.
- Those who enroll as exchange students from HU’s partner institutions based on departmental exchange agreements are required to take at least one course organized by the HU department which their institution has concluded the agreement with.
Some courses including field training will require additional fees (accommodation fees during the field training, travel expenses, etc.) For details, please check the syllabuses of the courses you wish to take. Fees that will be required for courses will be collected in cash (Japanese yen) after students arrive in Hokkaido, Japan. Accordingly, students should bring the necessary cash amount for fee payment.

The following students are eligible to apply for admission to the program:
- Those enrolled in a university or a graduate school as full-time students at the time of application and during the HSI program period;
- Those who have the English proficiency necessary to understand and participate in the course(s) they wish to take;
- Those who meet the requirements for the course(s) they wish to take;
- Those who agree that:
- They must take out insurance covering medical expenses and liability during their stay at Hokkaido University, and submit a copy of the insurance policy by the designated deadline after receiving a notification of acceptance.
- They are not able to take courses without submitting a copy of their insurance policy by the deadline

8 Desember 2018, Ti m Kayon Connecting Bridge yang beranggotakan Steven Febriyanto (DTSL 2015), David M. A. Fadlila D.J. Gilang Tiberias (DTAP 2015), Kendrick Marzuki ( DTAP 2015) , Masebia Pramudhita Modouw ( DTAP 2015). Tim ini dibimbing oleh dosen Departemen Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan Angga
Fajar Setiawan ST., M.Eng.,Ph.D. dan berhasil meraih juara 2 dalam rangkaian “Beyond Artch Space 2018, PT. PP Property, Tbk.”. Tim ini menggagas inovasi jembatan dengan sistem “Space Truss” dan pada sambungan antar joint
menggunakan sistem “Ball Joint”. Dengan sistem yang ada diharapkan agar jembatan tersebut memiliki kekuatan dalam menahan gaya-gaya yang ada dan benar-benar dapat terealisasi pada dunia nyata.
Kegiatan ini berlangsung mulai sejak tanggal 17 September 2018 melalui berbagai tahapan seleksi yang kemudian mempertemukan 3 tim terbaik dari berbagai perguruan tinggi maupun first graduate (maksimal 26 tahun). Pada tanggal 8 Desember 2018 dilakukan presentasi terbuka dan penjurian tentang hasil karya yang telah dibuat masing-masing tim.
Pada akhir acara di umumkan juara-juara yang ada : Juara 1 Tim Setapak Sungkono (Alumni Institut Teknologi
Bandung), Juara 2 Tim Kayon (Universitas Gadjah Mada) dan Juara 3 Tim JPO (Binus University).

Dialog Bersama dan Talkshow “Stop Pelanggaran, Cegah Kecelakaan, Selamatkan Generasi Penerus Bangsa”
Keselamatan merupakan tanggung jawab bersama, tidak terkecuali keselamatan dalam berlalulintas. Beragam upaya dilakukan demi mengurangi angka kecelakaan dan meningkatkan angka keselamatan pengguna jalan. Di antara pengguna jalan yang paling rentan adalah anak-anak.
Anak-anak cenderung meniru apa yang terlihat dan dilakukan oleh orang dewasa di sekitar mereka. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi orang tua dan orang dewasa untuk dapat memberikan teladan dalam berkendara dan berlalu lintas.
Sebagai wujud nyata upaya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan berlalulintas serta menekankan pada pentingnya tertib berlalulintas demi kesalamatan di jalan, maka Universitas Gadjah Mada bekerjasama dengan Gachon University, Polda DIY, Dishub DIY, KPAI dan Kementerian Perhubungan RI menyelenggarakan Dialog Bersama dan Talkshow Keselamatan Lalulintas Anak dengan tema Stop Pelanggaran, Cegah Kecelakaan, Selamatkan Generasi Penerus Bangsa.

Pada periode wisuda November 2018, Program Studi S1 Departemen Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan meluluskan 22 mahasiswa. Pelepasan wisuda dilangsungkan di Ruang Sidang Biru Lt.3 DTSL FT UGM yang diawali dengan sharing session oleh Bapak Daniel Pakpahan. Beliau adalah alumni Teknik Sipil UGM yang bekerja sebagai pilot project Bandara New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA).

Kuliah Umum Civil Engineering Entrepreneurship Lecture 2018 Tahap 4 dilaksanakan pada Sabtu, 17 November 2018 bertempat di Ruang Sidang Biru Lantai 3 Gedung Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan FT UGM. Pada kuliah umum ini pembicara dari Direktur Utama PT. Badak LNG yaitu Bapak Ir. Didik Sasongko Widi, M.Eng.
Materi yang disampaikan antara lain:
- Memperkenalkan business LNG.
- Memperkenalkan PT badak dan perannya.
- Menyampaikan kompetensi yg dibutuhkan dlm pekerjaan.
- Soft competency dan hard competency.
- Untuk Engineer, operation leaders (Manager level) dan strategi leaders (VP dan Direktur).
