This course contains the overview of civil engineering building with steel as main material, types of steel used in civil engineering structure. Mechanical properties of steel. Design and analysis of tension and compression beam element. Types of structural steel connections, bolted connection and welded connection. Design and analysis of flexural member including types of profiles to be used. Design and analysis of single column, compound column, and beam-column in multi-story building. |
